Doctor of Eddie Garcia Says His Family Didn’t Expect Him To Die Yesterday
EDDIE GARCIA – Dr. Tony Rebosa, one of the doctors of veteran actor Eddie Garcia, revealed that his family did not expect him to die yesterday, June 20.
After more than a week of fighting for his life, veteran actor Eddie Garcia died yesterday at Makati Medical Center. The legendary actor passed away at the age of 90.
Eddie met an accident on the set of Rosang Agimat on June 8. During a taping in Tondo for his television series under the GMA-7, the veteran actor tripped on a cable wire and fell on the ground.
Tito Eddie was rushed to the hospital in Tondo and, later that day, he was transferred to a bigger hospital. He was diagnosed with cervical fracture, contrary to early reports that he had heart attack and heat stroke.
Tito Eddie was left by the accident in a critical condition and in a comatose state for twelve(12) days. He was dependent on the ventilator.
The family of Eddie Garcia refused to take his life support but agreed on putting him under a do-not-resuscitate order. His partner, Lilibeth Romero, was by his side all throughout.
According to Dr. Tony Rebosa, Lilibeth was by the veteran actor’s side when he breathed his last yesterday, June 20.
Based on a report on GMA News, Dr. Rebosa also revealed that the family of Eddie Garcia did not expect him to die yesterday. Citing the State of the Nation Address report, the doctor said that the veteran actor was still fighting for his life during noontime.
It was at 4:55 pm when Tito Eddie was declared dead based on the bulletin released by the Makati Medical Center.
With regards to the condition of Lilibeth Romero, his partner for more than three(3) decades, Dr. Rebosa expressed that she is calmer now compared to the previous days.
Based on the report, the doctor also said that Lilibeth knew that the veteran actor is no longer in pain now and is at eternal peace.
