Family of Eddie Garcia declines the National Artist Award for him
The family of legendary actor Eddie Garcia declined the National Artist Award for him at this point of his critical condition after the accident on Rosang Agimat‘s set.
Undoubtedly, Eddie is one of the superb actors from his generation until now. No one can refute his talent in front of the camera, whether it is for a movie or just a short appearance in a teleserye.
Despite his age, he can still deliver his lines and emotions needed in every scene. For the longest time, he has been a part of Kapamilya action-drama series Ang Probinsyano. When his character died in the said teleserye, he decided to go back to the Kapuso network.

He was taping for the series Rosang Agimat when the accident happened. Because of that, he was rushed to a hospital in Tondo and later on, he was transferred to Makati Medical Center.
At the time of writing, Eddie Garcia is still comatose and in critical condition. In spite of his medical status, award-giving bodies continue to give recognition to his talent.

Based on the report from Pilipino Star Ngayon, the longtime partner of Eddie, Lilibeth Romer, has been receiving calls from people who want to give the actor the National Artist Award. The report also stated that there were also several lifetime achievements awards intended for the veteran actor.
On the other hand, Lilibeth, reportedly declined to entertain this because of the status of her partner.
