Elmo Magalona feels pressure on the Kapamilya Network.
Amidst criticisms that he can’t do well along with the ABS-CBN’s talents, Elmo Magalona is striving hard to prove his acting following his transfer from the other network.
Being a son of the late rapper, Magalona has been in the industry for many years but it seemed that he is starting from a clean slate as he is challenged to prove his talent seeing that working with the ABS-CBN talents is quite a pressure.
Speculations spread that he will not shine at his new network because of the ABS-CBN’s pool of talented artists.
But according to the actor-rapper, he likes challenges and admitted that he is competitive as a person.
“When someone tells me, ‘You can’t do this,’ mas naeenganyo akong gawin. I think it’s a very good spot that I have and I want to keep it.” he said.
He also admitted that he feels the pressure now that he is in the new network.
“Of course, of course, meron din po ‘yon. Di ko na lang po inaano yung bad stuff.” he revealed.
Aside from being a performer in the Sunday variety show ASAP, Magalona is set to work with Janella Salvador for an upcoming teleserye ‘Born for You.’
The two have already started taping ofr the series, just recently, they both flew to Japan for their shooting.
Asked about how it was working with Salvador, Magalona said that he finds her really energetic and a breeze to work with.
Magalona also praised the young actress for being professional in the work.
“Pag meron kaming scene together, kilala niya ang character niya talaga.” he said.
About his real life sweetheart, Magalona said that his on screen partnership would not affect his personal relationship with Janine Gutierrez.
Magalona is one of the latest addition to a fast food chain’s ambassadors that include Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Carmina Villarroel and Darren Espanto.
