Heart’s Assistant Fires Back at Vice Ganda Over School Project Remark

In a viral social media exchange that has the entertainment industry buzzing, Resty Rosell, the personal assistant of Kapuso fashion icon and actress Heart Evangelista, fired back at Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda following the latter’s controversial statement about a school in the province of Heart’s husband, former Senate President Chiz Escudero.

During the “Laro Laro Pick” segment of It’s Showtime on Friday, October 24, Vice recalled an emotional visit to what he described as a “dilapidated school” in Evangelista’s province. “I went to this place in Heart Evangelista’s province. The school there had no reading materials, so I helped rebuild it. I cried so much when I saw that school,” Vice said on air.

However, Rosell didn’t take the comment lightly and quickly responded through a series of Instagram stories, tagging Vice’s official account. The PA accused the comedian of exaggerating the narrative and unnecessarily associating Heart’s name with the project.

“Vice, you should address your concerns to DepEd because they have a budget for school buildings and reading materials. What’s your intention in mentioning Heart’s name? For what? Clout? Just to say something? Kaloka!” Rosell wrote.

He further criticized Vice for allegedly taking full credit for a project that was already ongoing before the host’s involvement. “You only contributed, but you’re acting like you built the entire school!” Rosell added.

Screenshots shared by Rosell included sentiments from Heart’s supporters, claiming that Vice had misrepresented his role. One post read: “You didn’t build the classroom. You only contributed to an ongoing PTA project at Bagacay Elementary School—40% came from the PTA and 60% from you.”

Rosell went on to clarify that the school was already under construction when Vice visited, which might have given the impression of a full renovation on his vlog. “You said you wanted to contribute, but then you took all the credit. Even the PTA’s efforts were dismissed. Then you posted it on your monetized vlog—you gained fame and profit at the same time,” Rosell stated.

As of now, neither Heart Evangelista nor Vice Ganda has issued a public statement addressing Rosell’s remarks. The controversy continues to dominate online discussions, with fans divided over who deserves recognition for the school project.
