Angelika dela Cruz House in Malabon Robbed by Akyat-bahay Thieves

The house of actress-politician Angelika dela Cruz in Malabon City was allegedly robbed by ‘akyat-bahay’ thieves.

The event reportedly took place on Friday, July 8, according to the Daily Tribune’s report. According to the barangay tanod, or village watchman, the event took place inside Angelika’s home in Sitio Pinagsabugan, Barangay Longos, at around 2:30 in the morning.

Mika dela Cruz, her daughter, was thankfully still awake at the moment. Steven Ramos, a resident of Navotas, was named as the suspect. The adjoining room was the target of the burglary attempt.

Mika returned to her room and made a police call. The culprit was ultimately taken into custody. Angelika herself attested to the information, based on the report.

The actress-turned-politician expressed her gratitude to the barangay tanods and the police officers who came right away and quickly apprehended the offender via Facebook. She was also relieved that no one in her family had been injured during the alleged heist.

Last month, Angelika got a death threat and four bullets. Angelika, the current chairwoman of Barangay Longos in Malabon City, was reportedly in Thailand, when the threat was received by her family.
