Funny memes during the inauguration of President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday became viral on several social media sites, especially on Twitter and Facebook.

The former Davao City Mayor sworn in as the 16th President of the Philippines on June 30. The ceremony became a trending topic on various social media sites.
Aside from memorable images, the oath-taking ceremony has generated viral memes.
The grand entrance of President Duterte with his children, Paolo Duterte, Sara Duterte and Sebastian Duterte was so powerful that it was turned into memes.
The inauguration of the president was held at the the Rizal Hall of Malacañang Palace. It was attended by more than 600 guests.
However, the inauguration of Vice President Leni Robredo held separately at Quezon City Reception House.
President Duterte’s speech was not long, but it was very meaningful. In his speech, he highlighted that Filipino people must also cooperate to achieve genuine change.
“Change must start with us and in us. We have become our own worst enemies, and we must have the courage and the will to change ourselves,” he said.
“I am here because I love my country and the people of the Philippines, and am ready to start my work for the nation,” he concluded the speech.
President Duterte won the May election with more than 16 million votes or about 38 percent.
