Incoming Presidential Peace Adviser on the Peace Process Jess Dureza talks with some prominent personalities who were members of the CPP-NPA-NDF in Oslo, Norway. The meeting of Mayor Duterte’s representative with the communists party is part of the ongoing negotiations of the Duterte administration to promote peace in the Philippines.
Jesus or Jess Dureza, the former classmate of Mayor Rody Duterte during their early days in school visits the group of Sison, Jalandoni, Agcaoili and company in Norway.
The presidential peace adviser of the incoming President of the Republic of the Philippines wish to inform the general public of the recent development in the meeting with Reds.
According to Dureza, due to numerous queries and calls and his inability to take them, he decided to post the updates on his official Facebook account.

UPDATES FROM OSLO, NORWAY —
Due to numerous queries and calls and my inability to take them, please allow me to inform everyone:
1. Informal talks with CPP-NPA-NDF (CNN) started at 5pm June 14 at Leysebu Hotel at the outskirts of Oslo and ended at 11pm over dinner.
2. The CNN panel was headed by Jose Ma. Sison ( Joma), Louie Jalandoni, Fidel Agcaoili with 5 others
3. Topic discussed was resumption of peace negotiations that was stalled for 4 years and its mechanics;
4. Resumption of discussions today June 15.
5. There is evident shared optimism on both sides due to the declaration of President-Elect Rody Duterte to seek an early sustainable peace for the nation.
6. Both sides agreed that since the government participants have not yet assumed office, the consensus points, if any, will be initialed for authentication purposes at the close of the informal talks and to be formalized soon after President-elect Duterte’s government has assumed office.
