Jessy Mendiola was recognized as the Best Asia Pacific Star in the APAN Star Awards 2016 held in Korea.
Filipina actress Jessy Mendiola was recognized in the recently-held Asia Pacific Actors Network or APAN Star Awards 2016 in South Korea.
Jessy was named as the Best Asia Pacific Star in the said award-giving ceremony, where hundreds of talented actors and actresses in Asia were hoping for their names to be called.
Jessy gained popularity in Korea after her appearance in the Korean Broadcasting System program “Word Date With Shinee”, which featured eight ladies from different countries in a meet and greet with the popular K-pop boy group.
In her acceptance speech, Mediola expressed gratitude to APAN awards and also to Munhwa Broadcasting corporation, one of the leading South Korean television and radio networks, for the award.
“I am so happy to be standing here tonight in front of all of you, and I am greatly honored to be the Filipino recipient of the Best Asia Pacific Star Award.”, Jessy said with glitters in her eyes.
