“Just The 3 Of Us” earns 16 million on opening day
The Star Cinema film “Just The 3 Of Us” which stars the Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado and Kapamilya award-winning actor John Lloyd Cruz earns a whooping 16 million on its first day of showing across the country.
On Thursday, the advertising and promotions manager of Star Cinema Mico del Rosario took the image-sharing site Instagram to announce the good news. He wrote in the caption of photo: “We are a certified mega blockbuster.”

The film centers the story of CJ (Mercado) and Uno (Cruz), the two opposite strangers and how one night has changed their lives forever. Due to the certain situation, their love story has begun.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, “Just The 3 Of Us” also stars Joel Torre, Kethcup Eusebio, Fifth Solomon, Maria Isabel Torres, Yana Asistio and Joem Bascon.
The movie marks the first team up of Jennylyn Mercado and John Lloyd Cruz.
In an interview with “Tonight with Boy Abunda,” Mercado said that it was her dream to work with “Honor thy Father” actor, noting that she has watched all his movies in the past.
Cruz also said that he has been looking forward to working with Mercado since then.
In a recent interview, Mercado also said that she would like to work with Cruz again if given the chance. She said that they we’re not able to bond because of their hectic schedules.
Meanwhile, Mercado is now gearing up for a TV project and refused to give details. According to her, it will be announced next month.
