Announcing this milestone on January 29, 2025, Xian shared his excitement with fans through an Instagram post, where he uploaded photos of himself in his pilot uniform and his instructors placing epaulets on his shoulders, symbolizing his achievement.
“It’s official! PRIVATE PILOT. Still in the clouds from everything that happened,” Xian wrote in his post. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to his Top Flite Academy family for their support and acknowledged his instructors for their patience, trust, and inspiration. The actor also shared his eagerness for the future, saying, “More flights, more aerodromes, and more and more cross-country flights to come!”
Xian’s journey into aviation began in 2024 when he enrolled at Topflite Academy. Throughout his training, he frequently documented his progress on social media, allowing his fans to witness his dedication to learning the complexities of flight. In November 2024, he celebrated his first solo flight, marking a significant step in his journey to becoming a licensed pilot.
Reflecting on his newfound passion, Xian described the experience as a dream come true. “First time in the pilot’s seat! Nothing compares to the thrill of taking flight and seeing the world from above. Here’s to new heights and unforgettable views,” he shared. He also recalled how, as a child, he admired pilots and wondered about the science behind flying. “There’s a certain level of respect when you meet pilots. You look up in the sky and ask yourself, how does that even work? How do they fly?” he mused.
With his private pilot certification secured, Xian has now set his sights on obtaining a commercial pilot license, showing his determination to further his aviation career. He also used the moment to extend good wishes for the Chinese New Year, adding a celebratory note to his announcement.
