Marvel’s Kevin Feige gives new energy into Star Wars franchise as he is currently working on a new movie project for Disney.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the title for the upcoming Star Wars movie, is expected to summarize the current trilogy in December starring Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
Kevin Feige, 46, is working on developing a new chapter together with Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm and Alan Horn of Walt Disney Studios.
“We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox,” Alan Horn said in a statement.
“With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together,” Horn added.
Kevin previously explained to CinemaBlend that he was obsessed with Star Wars.
“So I’m obsessed with Star Wars – and it didn’t start out as intentional, but it became intentional, including that beat that you referenced. It sort of happens in every Star Wars movie, but I was sort of looking at it,” Kevin said.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set for release on the 19th day of December this year.
