Here’s why Kim Chiu was absent during the wedding of Maja Salvador
KIM CHIU – The actress-television host revealed that she was not invited to the wedding of Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez.
Some netizens were curious about Kim’s absence from Maja and Rambo’s wedding, which took place in Bali, Indonesia, on July 31, 2023. Kim addressed this matter in her recent YouTube vlog titled “Cooking Tortang Talong with Q&A,” released on September 24, 2023.
One of the questions posed to Kim was regarding her absence at Maja and Rambo’s wedding. Kim openly admitted that she wasn’t invited to the ceremony. However, she emphasized that this didn’t bother her since she and Maja weren’t exceptionally close friends, and their communication had been limited.
Kim explained, “Wala. Hindi naman kami sobrang close na ni Maja. And hindi na rin naman kami masyadong nag-uusap. And siyempre kapag kasal mo, gusto mo yung mga taong gusto mo lang… gusto mong nandidiyan to witness your love sa partner mo.” With a light-hearted tone, she added, “IHindi ako naimbitahan! Pero okay lang, wala talaga.”
Kim also conveyed her happiness for Maja and mentioned that they had exchanged messages. She said, “Sobrang happy ko para sa kanya and minessage ko naman siya. And na-touch din ako nung minessage niya ako dahil dun sa nangyari sa ate ko. Sabi niya, pinagpi-pray daw niya yung ate ko and sana daw okay lang ako. And nakausap ko siya nung may nangyari sa ate ko.” Kim expressed her contentment that Maja had found her lifetime partner in Rambo. Kim is currently enjoying her time with her boyfriend, Xian Lim.
Kim and Maja were once close friends but experienced a falling out related to Gerald Anderson. In 2013, during their TV series “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” tensions arose when Maja publicly disclosed her relationship with Gerald, who had previously dated Kim. Kim and Gerald, both products of “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition,” had a genuine romantic involvement that ended in 2010. They didn’t communicate for several years until reports emerged of their reconciliation in April 2014.
In 2015, Gerald and Maja also parted ways. In August 2019, netizens were delighted to see what appeared to be a “restored friendship” between Kim and Maja when they were spotted together at the Kapamilya World Fiesta event in New Jersey.
