Michael’s post, timestamped at 5:03 a.m., included a cheerful “I’m so back,” signaling Kris’s safe arrival in her home country. The warm welcome was further highlighted by the fan community’s supportive messages, including one that expressed relief for her safe flight and wished her well for a speedy recovery.
Kris had previously announced her return on Thursday, revealing that she was coming back to the Philippines to begin her second immunosuppressant infusion. She candidly shared her emotional state, expressing a need for support and encouragement from her family, close friends, and medical team. “Emotionally I need the encouragement and unwavering faith my sisters and cousins, closest friends, and trusted team of doctors can provide,” she said. Kris further explained the gravity of her situation, stating that what began as a quest to improve her mental health has evolved into a critical effort to safeguard her vital organs. “This is now the fight of my life,” she declared.
Kris has been open about her health struggles, listing six confirmed autoimmune conditions that she battles: autoimmune thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, Churg Strauss syndrome, systemic sclerosis, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. She also mentioned awaiting results for two additional autoimmune conditions, underscoring the ongoing complexity of her health issues.
Accompanying Kris on her journey back to the Philippines are her son Bimby and her nurses. However, her eldest son, Josh, will remain in the United States for a few more weeks. The family’s support is crucial as Kris navigates her treatment and recovery process.
