Despite her ongoing health battles, Kris Aquino recently sat down with Ogie Diaz for an exclusive interview where she opened up about her hopes and prayers for her youngest son, Bimby. In the heartfelt conversation, Kris shared her deep wishes not just for Bimby’s future career, but also for the kind of person he continues to become.

Ogie Diaz asked Kris what her ultimate wish for Bimby was. Kris responded, “Hindi wish, pinagdadasal ko parati na kung gaano siya kabait ngayon, all the way until siya na ‘yung may anak, sana umabot ng may apo, ganyan pa rin kabait.” She emphasized how proud she is of Bimby’s upbringing, crediting not only herself but the many people who have mentored and guided him over the years. “It takes a village,” Kris said, adding that even as Bimby grows older, he still affectionately calls his mentors “tito” and “tia.”
Kris also touched on the sincerity of her circle, both from showbiz and politics, who continue to genuinely care for her and her children. “I also realize na maraming nagsasabi na plastik sa showbiz, users, No! ‘Yung mga totoong naging kaibigan niya tini-treat siya parang baby pa rin,” she said, highlighting the authenticity of her true friends.
Another touching part of the interview was when Kris shared how Bimby has become her source of strength, especially during her difficult health journey. “I want Bimb to be an inspiration to other kids,” she said, noting how the traditional roles have reversed, with Bimby often caring for her when she is at her weakest. “Kasi ilang beses niya akong binuhat talaga,” Kris emotionally revealed.
One of Kris’s dreams is to see Bimby serve in public office someday. “Sana umabot ako ng another, kasi na-discover ‘yung auto-immune ko, seven years ago. Sabi ko, ‘God dagdag. 7 plus 7. Para umabot akong nakita kong swearing in niya as mayor,” she shared, wishing for more years so she could witness Bimby’s potential oath-taking as a city mayor.
Kris’s touching words show her deep love for her son and her enduring hope to see him succeed, not just in his career, but more importantly, in character and compassion.
