Kris Aquino recently opened up about the end of her relationship with Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste and how she is moving on with her life. In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Kris shared that their relationship had been on the rocks since November of last year. She discovered certain things about Mark that she did not like, which led to their eventual separation in February.
Kris made it clear that she tried to fix things with Mark but ultimately decided to end their relationship. A significant factor in her decision was a comment from her son, Bimby. “Mama, I don’t think you really love him. I think you’re just sad,” Bimby had told her. This resonated deeply with Kris, confirming her own feelings.
When asked if she would give Mark another chance, Kris was unequivocal. “If he’s trying, the door is closed… I never confirmed publicly. It all came from him,” she said, emphasizing that the public should stop asking Mark about her condition. Kris stated that Ogie Diaz knows more about her current situation than Mark does. “Don’t ask him how I am because he really doesn’t know. We have no communication,” she added.
Kris also revealed that there is someone new in her life who makes her heart flutter. This new love interest is a doctor based in the Philippines. When Ogie Diaz probed further about his location, Kris disclosed that he was from Makati. She clarified that her new relationship did not overlap with her previous one with Mark. “There is a significant gap (since February) and no overlap. He is not the reason why Mark and I didn’t work out,” Kris explained.
Kris expressed her confidence in returning to the Philippines if her medical treatments go well, partly because of the support from her new partner. “I feel that he will take care of me, and that’s important for someone with a condition that’s difficult to treat. You need someone you can rely on,” she said.
In her interview, Kris confirmed the end of her relationship with Mark and dismissed any possibility of reconciliation. “Yes, definitely, no getting back together,” she asserted. Kris also mentioned that it has been almost five months since she last heard from Mark. “Maybe that was in February. So March, April, May, June, and we’re nearing July. That’s almost five months, Ogie,” she noted.
Kris revealed that their relationship issues started in November, but she chose to separate from Mark due to things she learned about him. “To inform the public, things started to get rocky in November. We tried to fix it, but I found out things that I didn’t like. I won’t say more than that, it’s part of the reason why it didn’t work out,” Kris elaborated.
During the interview, Kris expressed her desire to keep her personal life private, including her health status and romantic relationships. She did not want to burden the public with her problems, acknowledging that everyone has their struggles.
For now, Kris is focused on her new relationship and her health, finding solace in the support of her new partner.
