Kris, who has been undergoing treatment in the U.S. since 2022, explained that her return to the Philippines is crucial as she needs to begin her second round of immunosuppressant infusions. “I need to start my second immunosuppressant infusions in 2-3 weeks (it’s a gentler term for chemotherapy),” she explained. The treatment is part of her ongoing battle with autoimmune conditions, which have severely impacted her health. However, Kris revealed that the fight had escalated from improving her condition to protecting her vital organs.
In her post, Kris expressed the emotional toll her health journey has taken and her need to be surrounded by loved ones during this critical time. “Emotionally I need the encouragement and unwavering faith my sisters & cousins, closest friends, and trusted team of doctors can provide,” she shared.
