For the first time, Marjorie Barretto has spoken out following recent statements made by her former partner, Dennis Padilla, regarding their children, particularly their daughter, Claudia Barretto’s wedding. In a tell-all interview with entertainment host Ogie Diaz, Marjorie addressed Dennis’ claims head-on, firmly denying that she is preventing him from reconnecting with their children.
According to Marjorie, she only decided to speak out to defend her children from the accusations that have once again put them in the public spotlight. “I can’t stay silent anymore when my children are being unfairly judged,” she explained. “The truth needs to come out.”
She clarified that Dennis only began expressing interest in being a father when their daughter Julia entered showbiz. Marjorie revealed that Julia even lost endorsement deals because of Dennis’ controversial interviews. “It was heartbreaking for all of us,” she shared.
In a shocking revelation, Marjorie also disclosed that she suffered physical abuse from Dennis during their relationship, which led to a ruptured eardrum and required surgery. She admitted that it took her years to walk away from the relationship, choosing to prioritize her and her children’s safety.
Marjorie expressed frustration over Dennis repeatedly portraying himself as the victim in interviews for over a decade. “It’s a cycle. He goes on air, tells half-truths, and our children end up hurt and bashed online,” she said.
She also recounted instances when Dennis would speak ill of her to their children whenever he had a chance to spend time with them. Despite this, Marjorie said her children now better understand the situation and have become more protective of her.
