Jun Lana condemns talent managers who considers doing movie as “raket” or sideline only through his recent Instagram post.
Prominent movie director Jun Lana took to Instagram his rage against talent managers who just consider movies as “raket” or sideline.
Being in his profession for many years now, Lana perfectly understands the ins and outs of the showbiz industry in the Philippines and he is saddened about its present situation.
The director, who is behind the award-winning movie ‘Die Beautiful’, condemns those talent managers who do not give the same value he gives in the art of making films.
Based on the article published in Inquirer, Jun Lana addressed this situation on his recent Instagram post.
According to the 11-time Palanca winner, “Eto ang kalakaran sa showbiz: pumayag ka na sa cut-off at working hours limit, hihiritan ka pa kung pwedeng irelease agad ang alaga nila sa shoot dahil may ibang raket pa sila.”
He added that if professionalism will be the basis, one should not consider doing films as a sideline only but unfortunately, this kind of act is so rampant now in show business.

“Tapos nagtataka tayo kung bakit hindi kumikita ang mga pelikula natin ngayon? Mga pelikulang hindi naman talaga pinagbuhusan ng panahon at niraket lang?” he said.
Juna Lana also said that it would be shameful for those in showbiz to demand movie goers to go out and spend money for a film that it considered to be as just “raket”.
Based on the source, the prominent movie director did not name who he was referring on his post but obviously he is pissed off with about it.
Netizens who commented on his post couldn’t agree more on what he said about the reality in showbiz now.
