Malaysian singer Min Yasmin included in her recently launched album the songs from Filipino singers Nora Aunor and Jessa Zaragoza.
Malaysian singer Min Yasmin recently launched her album in the Philippines with the title ‘Pangarap’.
Last February 22, her album was officially launched in Manila Polo Club and the event was graced with personalities from both music industries in Malaysia and Philippines.
Yes, this might be surprising to others but Min Yasmin can really sing in Tagalog and ‘Pangarap’ is not just the title of her album but it is also the title of her carrier single.
In fact, she even featured songs from prominent Filipino singers such as the ‘Kahit Konting Awa’, ‘Pag-Ibig Kong Ligaw’ and ‘Sigaw Ng Damdamin’ popularized by Superstar Nora Aunor and other songs from Jessa Zaragoza which are ‘Bakit Pa’ and ‘Sabihin Mo Na’.
The Malaysian singer revealed that she has been visiting the country since 2015 and she enjoys it every time that she is here, based on the article published in Bandera.
People always notice her colorful hijab and she was asked about it.
According to Min, wearing colorful head accessory is her style and that it is her own identity.
“This is my style, this is my passion. I want to be bold and different from other singers because if we talk about talent, every singer has talent,” she stated.
She added that in order to be different from other singers she needs something that will identify her from the others.
“This is my style and strategy so that people will recognize me. ‘That’s Min Yasmin,’” she added.
The singer from Malaysia also shared her observation regarding the difference between Malaysian and Filipino audiences.
“Malaysians and Filipinos are almost the same. They are almost similar. But I found Filipino crowd more fun because they like to really express their feelings. If they like the song they really shout,” Min Yasmin revealed, based on the article.
