Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) to be held outside the country for the first time in show’s history.
The latest season of reality television series “Pinoy Big Brother” will be held not in the Philippines, but in Vietnam. This is the first time PBB will open its house outside the country after a decade.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, director Laurenti Dyoga said that the latest edition will give a new viewing experience to the avid viewers.
“Sa tagal na natin sa ere eh medyo nakabisado na ng mga viewers, ng ating housemates [ang Bahay ni Kuya],” he said.
Dyogi also explained why they decided to hold it on Vietnam this time.
“Gusto rin natin ng isang lugar na kahit sa history natin ay may relationship …There were Vietnamese refugees in Palawan and marami tayong similarities tulad na lang sa prutas at sa temparatura,” he said.
On Tuesday, celebrity housemates went to the airport for their flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. They were Yassi Pressman, Juan Karlos Labajo, Jinri Park, McCoy de Leon, and Nikko Natividad. They have no idea that they will be traveling to Vietnam.
Park, Labajo and an unamed “hunk housemate” were earlier denied from boarding due to document issue.
PBB last aired on November through “Pinoy Big Brother:737” which named Miho Nishida as grand winner for regulars and Jimboy Martin for teens. This is the first time in the entire show to have two editions in the same season.
