Ogie Diaz on Possibly Managing Elias J. TV Amid Manager Dispute

Entertainment personality Ogie Diaz was recently asked if he would consider managing vlogger and reggae band frontman Elias J. TV, who is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with his former manager, Beverly Labadlabad. The question arose after Elias became a controversial figure following reports that he had filed a case against Beverly, with whom he had previously worked closely.

Elias J. TV Controvercy

Elias J. TV, known for his energetic performances and signature dance moves as the lead vocalist of Kalumad Band, first rose to online fame as a content creator. However, his career took a dramatic turn after rumors surfaced about a possible personal relationship between him and Beverly, which later escalated into public disputes and eventually legal action.

Ogie, who has managed several high-profile talents in the past, was direct and candid in his response when asked if he would take on Elias as a new talent. “Pagod na akong mag-manage,” he quipped during a conversation with his co-host, Mama Loi. While his remark was partly in jest, Ogie also made it clear that managing Elias would require navigating complex existing issues.

He pointed out that before entering into a new professional partnership, Elias should first resolve his ongoing controversies. According to Ogie, the demanding schedule that comes with show business can take a toll on any artist, regardless of how much they earn. “Kung halos araw-araw may trabaho at wala ka nang oras magpahinga, kahit gaano kalaki ang kita mo, hindi mo na rin mae-enjoy,” he explained.

Ogie further elaborated that overwork not only affects a performer’s physical health but also impacts their emotional well-being and overall disposition. “So pagkaganyan, siya mismo para saan ba ‘tong pera ko? Dahil siya mismo umiinit ang ulo, wala nang pahinga, walang tulog. Parang ‘di na niya nae-enjoy yung pera dahil araw-araw na lang siyang nagtatraaho,” he said.

The talent manager-turned-host’s remarks reflect a deeper issue in the entertainment industry, where some artists face intense workloads without sufficient rest, potentially straining their mental health and personal relationships.

As of now, Elias J. TV has yet to release a public statement addressing Ogie’s comments, but the ongoing legal case with Beverly Labadlabad remains unresolved. Whether Ogie will eventually step in as his manager appears unlikely—at least until the controversies surrounding Elias are put to rest.
