Pia Wurtzbach explains why Liza Soberano is Miss Universe material.
The controversial Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach said that the Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is Miss Universe material. She also explained why she want the “Dolce Amore” actress to be the next beauty queen.
In an interview with the press and PEP, Pia Wurztbach said that the teen actress is beautiful, noting that she is still young and she can still train.
“Beauty of face. Maganda talaga. When I was asked at that time, it was just very quick, at the top of my head. I thought of commercial beauty na papasa na Pilipina pa rin siya, at yung naisip ko; and she’s young and she can still train,” she said.
While Wurtzbach wants her to be the next title holder of the much coveted crown, she also said that that Soberano should sacrifice her career if she really wants to join the Miss Universe.
Liza Soberano previously said that she is flattered about Wurtzbach’s remarks. However, she remained mum when asked if she also want to be a beauty queen.
The 26-year-old Filipina-German is the third Filipina candidate to win Miss Universe after 42 years. Margie Moran was the last candidate from the Philippines who took home the crown in 1973.
Pia Wurtzbach was crowned on December 20 last year in Las Vegas. She made headlines when the host Steve Harvey initially crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez.
Meanwhile, Wurtzbach is currently in the Philippines for Binibining Pilipinas. She is set to pass the crown to the candidate that will represent the country in the most prestigious beauty pageant.
