A photo which features Alden Richards endorsing a politician is currently making rounds online and was heavily criticized by some Netizens.
The photo which was retrieved by Fashion Pulis drew flak online as it shows a political persona named Myrna Lacap, who’s according to a commentator is running for councilor in Macabebe, Pampanga.
Fans of the actor couldn’t help but to vent out negative statement after using the “Ultimate Heartthrob” for political endorsement.
The photo is accompanied with “AlDub Nation”, thus it calls out support from the thousands of fans of highly popular and phenomenal love team, AlDub, which is consist of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
The photo which was first posted by lendlfabella on image-sharing site, Instagram has already gained numerous reaction from the Netizens. The controversial photo has generated hundreds of likes as well.

Dubbed as “Pambansang Bae”, the 24-year-old Kapuso star announced in a press interview last year that he will not endorse any politician in the upcoming May 9, 2016 National Elections.
In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal last October 2015, Alden Richards denied that camp of presidential candidate Mar Roxas offered him a whooping 100 million upon endorsement.
However, he disclosed the issue and noted that, “Wala pong lumapit to offer that much money.”
Alden Richards, the other half of “AlDub”, short for Alden Richards and Yaya Dub came to prominence on Kalyeserye portion of “Juan For All, All For One” segment of the country’s longest running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
