RIP EMINEM TRENDING – The year 2020 had so much to offer in terms of tragedies and this time, people are saying #RipEminem on Twitter. But why?
To start things off, the legendary rapper, Marshall Mathers or better known as Eminem, is very much alive and well. However, the Twitter-verse has been flooded with #RipEminem. Fortunately, RipEminem just became a meme on Twitter with everybody messing with each other.
According to an article from AltPress, the trend started when Twitter user @levicumsock tweeted “I have killed Eminem”. Since then, the the account has been made private but the #RIPEminem caught on.
But this time, netizens on Twitter are using the hashtag as another meme that’s likely going to pass soon enough. Here are some of the reactions of Twitter users to the #RipEminem news.
Even popular names in the music industry such as music critic Anthony Fantano contributed to the on going meme.
However, the trend quickly became boring for some users. For example, Twitter user MoThaGod expressed his dismay and said:

Meanwhile, others have reported the trend to Twitter admins and are hoping that the issue would be resolved soon so they can remove the #RipEminem out of their platform.
