The proposal on shorter work hours is supported by Ser Chief.
ABS-CBN actor Richard Yap or more commonly known as Ser Chief shows support on the shorter work hours proposed in the show biz industry.
Ser Chief shared that there was one time when he was rushed into the hospital due to over-fatigue. He would often spend overtimes on the set of the television shows which caused his health conditions to falter.
At a recent media gathering organized by the Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corp. in which Yap is an endorser, he showed that he backs the proposal on the cutoff in work schedule.
The industry leaders is currently proposing an eight to fourteen-hour cutoff in work schedule which Yap affirmed that could be good for everyone.
To support, Ser Chief cited the death of the directors who happened to be at the prime of their lives due to excessive working hours on set.
Further, he said that he sees the work as something that really costs much physically as actors and actresses have to report early in the morning though they were not able to have even just an hour of sleep.
Yap experience it during the tapings for the TV series “Be Careful With My Heart” which he played as Jodi Sta. Maria’s leading man.
The people were hooked to the TV series for two years which indeed popularized Ser Chief even more.
He added as well that his affirmation to the proposal of the leaders of the industry is not only for the actors and actresses but as well as for the staff and crew members.
To justify it, he added that the staff and the crew members were the first to arrive on set for the preparation and the last to leave as they have to fix everything before leaving.
