An unexpected incident occurred on Sunday afternoon after a private vehicle accidentally crashed into the al fresco dining area of a restaurant owned by the family of actor and entrepreneur Matteo Guidicelli. The accident happened at Da Gianna Cucina Italiana, located at Westgate Molito in Alabang, around 4:00 PM.
According to a social media post shared by Guidicelli, the vehicle rammed into the outdoor dining section of the restaurant. Fortunately, there were no customers present in the area at the time of the accident, preventing any injuries among guests. Guidicelli explained that diners had already left the al fresco section by around 1:30 PM, leaving the area empty when the incident occurred.
While no customers were harmed, two restaurant staff members who were working inside the establishment were immediately brought to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. The employees were stationed near the pizza oven area when the accident took place. After undergoing medical checks, both staff members were reported to have no serious injuries and are currently receiving proper care and monitoring.
Initial assessments revealed that the damage caused by the crash was limited to a portion of the restaurant’s exterior structure. Management quickly ensured that safety measures were implemented following the incident. The indoor dining area of the restaurant remains operational and continues to serve customers, while the al fresco section has been temporarily closed to allow repair work and safety inspections to be completed.
Guidicelli expressed gratitude that the situation did not result in severe harm to customers or staff.
