Willie Revillame Slams Reporter Who Said He Hijacked Roque’s Press Briefing
WILLIE REVILLAME SLAMS REPORTER – TV Host Willie Revillame did not take kindly to the words used by a reporter to describe his appearance in Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque’s press briefing.
On August 7, Revillame made a special appearance in Roque’s digital press briefing where he said he would donate P5 Million to jeepney drivers. Afterward, a reporter from Rappler, Pia Ranada made an article that said the TV Host “hijacked” the press briefing to promote a charity.
As a response, Revillame said that he decried the use of the word “hijack” to describe his appearance. According to a report from Pep, the TV host said:
Furthermore, Revillame emphasized that he was merely invited by Roque and was given an opportunity to announce his planned donations. Additionally, Revillame asserted that he has never hijacked anything and said:
As per the report, the TV host said he was saddened because the report seemed like he was being defamed.
Meanwhile, as a response to Revillame’s statements, Pia Ranada took to Twitter to assert that she did not spread any fake news. According to her, Revillame merely misunderstood her definition of the word “Hijack”.
Hi Willie Revillame!
