One of the usual lines that can commonly be heard when it comes to adjusting to a work is to ‘love your job’. That is the usual advice a newbie can hear from older workers so that adjusting to the work won’t be much of a hassle.
Undeniably, there are workers who are only forced to employ to certain jobs because they need to earn. Some of them don’t have any other choice when they were in their college years and just took a course with an affordable tuition fee so they landed on that job.
In the present times, the generation is challenged to follow their passion amidst life’s circumstances. Mostly believe that in order for someone not to feel that he or she is working everyday, that kind of work must be the job that motivates him or her to get up every morning.
Yet undeniably, quitting your current job to follow a passion could also be a big risk most especially if you haven’t saved a lot of resources yet. On the brighter side, working passionately may also promise a greener field as you get to put your heart on what you are doing.
Recently, a feature report in Elite Readers shared about the 24-year-old Filipina named Aileen Adalid who quit her job in a bank to follow what her heart desires.
Based on the report, Aileen was 21 years old and has only around $6,000 worth of savings when she quit her work in Deutsche Bank.
She then started working as a freelancer and because of it, travelling is not much of a hassle to her schedule. It led her to another path wherein she was able to establish a travel blog and a lifestyle of her own.
Aileen now earns around $5,000 every month according to the report. It also cited the Business Insider article which stated that the travel blogger also gets free accommodations and travels.
