Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. will stay in Albuera Police station. This was after his lawyer lost his life for an ambush killings.
The Mayor was accused of having an involvement in the illegal drugs activities in the country. According to a recent news report of ABS-CBN news, starting on Thursday, August 25, 2016, the Albuera Police Station will serve as the new office of Espinosa.
This was a part of the protective custody for him before the government will release the warrant of arrest in his case. Furthermore, this will also serve as the house of the Mayor to protect himself. Only limited personalities are allowed to visit the mayor.
The Mayor was released under the custody of the PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa. This was after the mayor surrendered to the authorities for being linked to illegal drugs.
