Alternatives are already set since the President announced that he wanted to have the checkpoints removed all around the country.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is already prepared once the checkpoints all over the country will be removed because they have prepared some alternatives.
This is following the pronouncement of President Rodrigo Duterte last October 29, Saturday, that he wants the checkpoint operations halted because they only cause delay in the travel of people and transport of goods.
According to the Chief Executive, aside from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), other groups like the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) also have their own and separate checkpoint operations.

According to the PNP, they are ready to remove the checkpoints all over the country once they receive the formal directive from the President.
