Anti-Filipino Con: Not Allowed In Duterte Admin

An anti-Filipino Constitution is one thing that the President could not allow under his administration.

Anti-Filipino Constitution can’t be allowed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as he has said on Friday at Davao City.

A report in Inquirer stated that the President has expressed his will not to allow an anti-Filipino Constitution to hold the country.

In line with this idea of being against it, President Rody Duterte said tha party-list system will never come again.

An incident happened last Wednesday in Kapalong, Davao del Norte province and it left the militiamen wounded. The incident stood as one reason behind the President’s desire to eradicate the party-list system in the Constitution.

The 71-year-old President also expressed on the decision of his administration with regards to the amendment of the 1987 Philippine Constitution.

According to him, a Constituent Assembly will be preferred over a Constitutional Convention that would require much bigger fund. Further, he assured that the move will only result to a body of land laws that are responsive to the citizenry’s necessities.

One of the amendments planned is with regards to the scraping of the party-list system as the straightforward man sees it to be a mockery of the law as said in the report.
