Plans to revive Bataan Nuclear Power Plant was not yet definite. The mothballed facility is currently under all the studies for its activation.

The controversial nuclear-power plant in Bataan was created during the reign of the late Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos in order to remedy rising energy prices.

There is an ongoing debate in the Senate of the reopening of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant as Senators expressed their opposing positions on the issue.

Reports said, the activation of the Nuclear power plant will give the country sufficient supply of energy and would also lower the risks of placing many regions in the country under yellow and red alerts.
