Briones: ‘For every 10 teachers we are recognizing now, there are a thousand more who are unrecognized’

BRIONES – In an awarding of certificates to Metrobank’s most outstanding teachers at the office of the Department of Education in Pasig City, DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones stressed the importance of recognizing the educators.

A recent news report in Inquirer stated the emphasis made by the Education Secretary in the awarding event.

Based on the report, the Education Secretary stressed the ration of the teachers that are recognized and those that are not recognized.

“For every 10 teachers we are recognizing now, there are a thousand more who are unrecognized,” she said.
