Cardinal Tagle Blesses Two New Mobile Clinics
Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle recently blesses two new mobile clinics with holy water inside Caritas Manila, Friday.
In a report by CBCP News, there will be volunteer doctors and nurses that will be accompanying the new facilities to provide health care services to the least reached out places like the homeless and the street children.
According to Cardinal Tagle, the said mobile clinics will be proving health care services to the needy in Metro Manila.
“If they can’t come to the hospital then the clinic will go to them. Through these clinics, we hope that God’s concern and healing could reach many people,” said Tagle as quoted in the report.
It is also said that the mobile clinics came from the “fruits” of a fund-raising campaign started by the Barnabite Heart to Heart Ministry in the US with its project called “Make Sad Eyes Smile” in Pennsylvania in September 2015.
These moving clinics came from Kansa in the US last March and arrived in Manila this May.
According to American priest Fr. Robert Kosek, the said mobile clinics were simple “act of kindness” and a proof that “love still exists.”
“I call these clinics the oasis of mercy through the countless of people donated… people who cannot be here but gave one dollar or 50 cents (for these project),” Fr. Kosek said.
Cardinal Tagle also expressed his thanks to the collaborators and friends who pursued the said project. According to the cardinal, what happened is “close to a miracle”. He also described the people who helped as “generous” and “selfless”.
The cardinal then encouraged everyone to “nurture the gift and let it be used responsibly to promote the good especially of the poor.”
