After the arrest of Mark Anthony Fernandez, the PNP Chief pushed to undergo celebrities to buy bust operations.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa believes that celebrities who are into illegal drugs must also be subjected to buy bust operations, just like any ordinary drug personality.
According to General Dela Rosa, those hard-headed celebrities who continue with the their vice and business involving illegal drugs must not be anymore subjected to Operation Plan Toktok Hangyu or the Oplan Tokhang where the police men come to their house and urge them to stop their illegal activity.
Dela Rosa said these celebrities could not be dealt with slightly anymore and must be subjected to buy bust operation where the police poseur buyer would pretend to be a drug user and buy the substance from the stars.
Once the celebrities positively hand the drugs to the poseur buyer and they (celebrities) hold the marked money, they can already by arrested.
The automatic violation is the Article 2 Section 5 of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Section 5, which is “selling of illegal drugs” is unbailable.
