President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gets a standing ovation from the members of the Jewish community after once again asking for an apology for his Hitler remarks.
Duterte attended the Beit Yaacov Synagogue of the Jewish Association of the Philippines where he joined them in prayer before he gave his speech before the Jews, on October 4, Monday evening.
In his speech, President Duterte repeatedly asked for an apology to the Jews in relation to his remarks, where he compared himself to Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, where he said that if the German leader could order for the killing of six million Jews, he would also gladly order for the annihilation of three million drugs addicts in the country.
He clarified that he was only slamming back to the critics of his campaign against illegal drugs which resulted, in a way or another, to the death of personalities who are linked to drugs.
President Duterte also made it clear that he had no intention to hurt the Jews or remind them of the genocide during the Holocaust.
