Unexpectedly, an e-cigarette exploded inside the pants pocket of a New Yorker and the man was badly burned, according to his lawyer.
NEW YORK, United States – A New Yorker was badly burned after an e-cigarette exploded in his pocket, his lawyer disclosed.
The 31 year old Otis Gooding, an employee at a wine store at New York, was standing behind the counter of their store while talking with his co-workers when the e-cigarette placed inside his pocket exploded.
According to Attorney Sanford Rubenstein, the explosion burned the leg, thigh and hands of Gooding.
A closed circuit television (CCTV) camera caught the incident where Gooding was seen jumping as sparks become flames shooting his pants pocket. Smoke billows from his pants as he tried to remove the e-cigarette from his pocket.
