President Duterte and President Xi have agreed that exchange visits among the Chinese and Filipino leaders will be on a regular basis.
Another round of exchange visits between the officials of China and the Philippines are expected.
This is after President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines and President Xi Jinping of China have agreed during their bilateral meeting to have their exchange visit regular.
According to reports, aside from the national or top level officials, also included in the exchange visits are local level officials, leaders in legislative organs, political parties and civil organizations.
Expressed in the joint statement of President Duterte and President Xi that the exchange visits are meant to widen and deepen the interaction and also the communication between China and the Philippines now that the bilateral relations of both countries have been put ‘back to normal’.
