Based on a previous news report, the candidates for the upcoming pageant will be touring the tourism destinations in the Philippines. This goes along with the international exposure of the beautiful spots in the country.

A recent news report in Inquirer stated that the city government of Baguio permitted the  Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) to shoulder the tour expenses of the beautiful contestants.

Furthermore, it is stated that it allowed the putting up of a Christmas bazaar as a fund-raising project in Burnham Park.

According to the report, Baguio City now is facing challenges after the fund-raising project intended to aid the raising of P40 million has been stopped.

The local traders in the Baguio expressed that the fund-raising is at the expense of the local businesses in the city. A Baguio court has granted a temporary restraining order of seven days against the bazaar after local trader Ellen Lao filed a petition.

Not less than 80 stalls were prohibited from selling souvenir items, clothing, and varieties of food starting the first day of the month of December.

Based on the report, the petition entailed that the bazaar violated an ordinance of the city which prohibits bazaars and trade fairs at the park.
