Senator Gringo Honasan said he was saddened after the Ombudsman resolved that two counts of graft be filed against him before the Sandiganbayan.
Senator Gregorio Gringo Honasan was very saddened after the Office of the Ombudsman recommended the filing of case against him before the Sandiganbayan because of the alleged misuse of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) in 2012.
On Monday, September 26, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales has ordered the filing of double counts of graft against Honasan for violations of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
In the in-depth investigation of the Office of the Ombudsman, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in April 2012 released P30 million of the PDAF, otherwise known as the pork barrel, of Senator Honasan to the National Council of Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) as the implementing agency.

But the senator confident that the truth shall come out in the end and he trusts the process of law.
