‘James Bond Style’ Can Stop Terrorism In Ph, Says Duterte

President Duterte has some taste of humor, or maybe he was serious, in suggesting that ‘James Bond Style’ can end terrorism.

President Rodrigo Duterte has a way different suggestion to prevent terrorism from escalating into a full blown war and that is to deal with it like fictional action character James Bond did.

If James Bond was called Agent 007 (pronounced as double-O-seven), President Duterte left everyone is awe to his one-of-a-kind suggestion in dealing with terrorism that is of increasing threat globally.

James Bond is a fictional British Secret Service Spy who was put into life by Ian Fleming. The character is known to be wise and cunning in accomplishing his missions.

The suggestion was raised by Duterte when he talked to the soldiers, during the 48th anniversary of the Air Force 205th Presidential Airlift Wing in Villamor Airbase, as a way to urge them to learn new skills and be more responsible to the changing security environment.

Duterte said: “The most important thing here is you have to change paradigm. This is no longer a face-to-face war. So it’s a matter of detection. Meaning to say, something is afoot and you have to detect to find out what it is”.

“Parang James Bond na and larong ito. Not so much about the display of might but your ‘might’ might be stolen from you. So change it a bit because we are dealing with terrorists and there will be explosions after explosions until we find peace”, Pres. Duterte added.
