Jessie Lichauco is known for social contributions to the country. She embraced the Filipino culture and was granted to be a Filipino citizen which was signed into law by the former President Benigno Aquino III.

Jessie Josephine Coe Lichauco is a Cuban-born Filipino-American philanthropist. She was granted Philippine citizenship through Republic Act No. 10356 by the former President Aquino.

She is the wife of Marcial Lichauco, a Filipino lawyer and diplomat and was appointed Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway and Sweden by the former President Diosdado Macapagal.

She is known for helping the Filipino by offering her home in Massachusetts to Filipino scholars and students needing a place to settle.

The 104-year-old Jessie Lichauco served as the Ambassador’s hostess representing the Philippines in international organizations and events.

She opened her house in Palace Green to Filipino business people, students, workers, and tourists.

She was born in Cuba but was granted a Philippine citizenship signed by the former President Aquino for her social contribution in the country.

Jessie Lichauco embraced the Filipino culture. She considers the Philippines as her home and she studied to speak the Filipino language.

Now that she is 104-year-old, she shared some lessons in her life.

According to a report, she shared that Filipinos are happy people who always have a smile on their faces despite all the things that they are facing. Filipinos’ eyes are always lighted up, full of hopes and always smiling.
