The Department of Justice is now looking into “throwing” Bilibid personnel to prisons in far away places in the country.
Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II is considering the suggestion of a congressman to abolish the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
According to Aguirre, they are now studying the possibility of sending the current employees of the BuCor at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) to prison facilities in far away parts of the country.
The Justice secretary said that this a good move to force them (the BuCor) employees to just quit their jobs – which they do not dispose of accordingly.
According to Aguirre, through the abolition of BuCor, the problem on the issue of security of tenure will also be gone.
