Mr. Duterte did not have a second thought on kissing the lifeless body of the Davao blast which claimed 15 lives.
President Rodrigo Duterte laments over the recent bombing in the Davao City night market along Roxas Avenue, on late Friday night which claimed 15 people’s lives and hurt more than 60 others.
Immediately after the incident, Pres. Duterte made rounds at four hospitals where the victims were rushed.
He even kissed one of the corpses which was covered by hospital bedsheet.
He was not able to hide his mourning as he spoke with the surviving victims and to the family of the unfortunate ones.
After his visit to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC), he proceeded to the funeral parlors where the slain victims were brought.
He was emotional and even shed tears as he looked at the victims’ lifeless, almost unrecognizable remains, packed inside cadaver bags.
As the president was shedding tears, the whole Philippines was also mourning for the blast that hit Duterte’s beloved hometown.
