The president wanted to make sure of the involvement of some of his friends in the third narco-list that he is holding.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wanted to have his third narco-list revalidated after some of his friends appear to be included in the personalities having linkages in the illegal drug trade in the country.
According to Pres. Duterte, he was shocked after reading the whole narco-list and did not expect to see the name of some of his friends in the volume of papers containing drug personalities.
The president cited one of his friends, a certain General Espino, as an example of those who are dear to him but are in the narco-list.
He has already ordered to have the drug list revalidated to make sure of its correctness.
According to Pres. Duterte, he cannot see the link why the name of his general friend has surfaced in the drug list and so he wanted to know how it has gained involvement in the illegal drug trade.
In his previous speaking engagements, Duterte said that the ‘final narco-list’ has been validated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA).
