Atty. Romulo Macalintal vowed to defend the votes entrusted by the Filipinos to VP Leni Robredo.
MACALINTAL – Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her worries on the legal fees that would be charged with regards to the electoral case filed by former Sen. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
Recently, a previous report stated that Vice President Leny Robredo is given ten days by the Supreme Court, the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, to respond to the electoral case.
The electoral case was filed by fellow vice presidential candidate in the 2016 election, former Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
Reported in Inquirer, the Vice President expressed her worries on the legal fees that will be charged to her. She even affirmed to a news conference that she does not worry on explaining as her side is not hiding anything.
Further, VP Leni said that she does not know where to get the fund to be used in the case – like the attorney’s fee.
The Vice President also got to share that the attorneys’ fee of her lawyers comes for free as they volunteered to defend the case of VP Leni, Atty. Romulo Macalintal being the lead counsel.
Macalintal even assured, “As a lawyer, I am ready to serve my fellow lawyer without having to discuss attorney’s fees”.
