After Jaybee Sebastian’s expose of ninja cops, the DILG says there is no place for them in the PNP organization.
Secretary Ismael “Mike” Sueno of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said that the policemen involved in the illegal drug trade or the so-called ninja cops must quit their job for they do not deserve the badge.
Sueno’s message to the ninja cops, also known as narco cops, followed after New Bilibid Prison (NBP) high profile inmate Jaybee Sebastian exposed about these corrupt policemen’s involvement in the illegal drug trade inside the national penitentiary.
Sebastian also said that some Philippine National Police (PNP) officials are protectors of drug syndicates in exchange of a huge amount.
In an interview with Secretary Sueno, he said that aside from administrative and criminal charges to be filed against the ninja cops and also active narco generals who will be proven to be involved in the recycling of drugs seized from police operations, they shall also be dismissed from the service.
According to Sueno, PNP Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa is strict over his men and he would not let these kind of police men to take advantage of the influence of their organization.
