October is Consumer Welfare Month and the DTI reminds commercial establishments that there is no way they can implement “No Return No Exchange” Policy.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) reminds all commercial establishments across the Philippines that they cannot implement “No Return No Exchange” Policy to complaining customers.
According to DTI, the “No Return No Exchange” Policy can only be applicable to the sale of undergarments or underwear.
The DTI reminder was issued this October 2016 which is considered as the Consumer Welfare Month.
Under the Republic Act 7934, otherwise known as the Consumer Act of the Philippines, the consumers have the right for an exchange of the products or gadgets that they have later found damaged or defective.
