Tourism Cooperation Agreement With China Set To Sign By Philippines
Philippines was set to sign a tourism cooperation agreement with China and expects more Chinese tourist to visit the country.
Department of Tourism (DOT) expect more Chinese tourists to visit the country as Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo and Li Jinzao, chair of China National Tourism Administration was set to sign the agreement on October 20, 2016.
The agreement on tourism cooperation will be signed in the presence of the two countries heads of state. Duterte’s state visit in China indicates positive results for Philippines tourism aside from building economic ties between the two countries.
“China’s invitation to President Duterte for a state visit in Beijing bodes well for Philippine tourism, as the Chinese comprise the country’s second biggest visitor group,” said by Teo in a statement quoted by Inquirer.
