Poverty incidence is the number of households with an income below the poverty threshold. Poverty threshold is the minimum income required to afford basic food and nonfood needs.
“This has resulted from generally low and stable inflation, improved incomes, and higher employment rates in the period”, the 2015 Full Year Poverty Statistics said.
The Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) has also reported that around one out of five families were poor in 2015.
